I hear you. i see you.

Lately, I feel like a bear reemerging from hibernation. I love all seasons but spring and I have a more meaningful relationship. I’m enchanted by the rebirth and newness.

Spring translates to willingness, willingness to begin again. It’s a top-notch time for encouragement and professional development in business. At Anna Michele Communications we know spring is the perfect time to create fresh perspectives and that’s why I’m taking this opportunity to articulate what we do at AMC, why we do it, and how it’s different from the rest.

As the founder of AMC and a communications practitioner for 20 years, I’ve carefully tracked emerging communication challenges in industry. I’ve also researched professional development programming and how employees respond to it, so I could develop a more impactful approach.

Simply put, not simply solved, every problem begins with misunderstanding. Research validates that 70% of a company’s mistakes are due to “poor communication,” but in a study conducted by AMC:

  • 85% of employees believe typical professional development programming is a waste of time

  • 72% are overwhelmed and would rather stay on task to meet deadline

  • Nearly all are frustrated by mandatory professional development trainings and meetings

That’s a communication problem that correlates to trust depletions and it also sheds insight on company culture. Think about it, in business (and in life) it always comes down to trust and willingness. Good, sustainable, innovative business can only exist with strong senses of trust and willingness.

At AMC, no matter the client, our programming begins, continues, and ends with philosophically exploring the complexities of trust, willingness, and innovation. When we explore the damage at the root, trust replenishment is always the solution. We create customized, engaging and interactive programming that works for individual clients. We customize our programming on the foundations of trust and how it correlates to mindfulness.

What was once a taboo topic is now a fashionable word, finally, more commonly practiced in various pockets and corners of Western society. I’m talking about the word mindfulness and AMC is innovating the professional development playing field by normalizing mindfulness methods at work. Studies reveal regularly practicing mindfulness is highly beneficial for our mental wellbeing.

In fact, AMC is championing for the genuine human exchange in our AI-dominated professional society. Our research-based programming draws a parallel between longevity, consciousness, communication, and community. Our vision is to internationally reinvigorate the trustworthy exchange, by rewriting the narrative about communication as a “soft skill.”

AMC developed the 3 C’s Mindful Communication Model™; Consciousness, Communication, Community.

Our values are simple: trust, depth, humility, time, joy, willingness.

We respect the dignity and worth of humans and believe that AI, social media, robots. etc., are groundbreaking and contribute to success in society, but they’re just not human and in some ways extraordinarily harmful to the human exchange.

In closing, we’re doing it like it’s never been done before because our world has not been here before. At AMC we’re willing to spend the time, as human beings, to listen and have these discussions. In the last 10 years or so, trust, time, and empathy are now philosophies and discussions we need to prioritize, to sustain futures in business.
