In every role I’ve assumed, I absolutely identify as a professional community builder. As a journalist, I built community with my storytelling, or communication skills. My relationships were my capital. People trusted me with their vulnerable information. They believed that I would truthfully relay their stories or messages to a larger audience. It was a privilege. 


The key word there is trust. I love the definition of trust by expert Charles Feltman, “Trust is choosing to make something important to you, vulnerable to the actions of someone else.” Fully understanding trust helps us build strong relationships. It’s a full-time job in the practice of communication.    


It’s no different for me in my current roles as an international professor, researcher and entrepreneur. My success depends on my ability to help others succeed. There’s no way I would be able to teach or consult, if I didn’t first practice trust and place high value on relationship building and community building. At Anna Michele Communications we know that every success in every industry starts with relationship building, which requires exceptional communication skills and an intentional ability to be conscious.  


In my last two newsletters, I explained why consciousness and communication make up the first two elements in the AMC 3 C’s Mindful Communication Model™; Consciousness, Communication, Community. This week, I’m emphasizing why the third element, community, is always the intentional outcome when we work with our clients and teams. Our final goal is to walk away knowing that our mindful communication model and programming helped companies create stronger community cultures. 


To help companies create a more trusted culture, we offer AMC Masterclass programming that explores the research and science of communication. We create professional development sessions focused on all topics discussed in our newsletters, like relationship building, trust, community etc. to help improve company cultures.   


We want to host interactive learning lab experiences with teams and leaders like you. We want to work with companies that have people-first missions, to carry out the AMC vision:
